Boogie Down
Santiago grew up in the Bronx, NYC and was introduced to house music at the young age of 17 years. It was soon after that he started to explore the different sounds produced by world renowned djs working the dance floor during his time in the famous clubs of New York. Employeed (as a barback) at discotheques Club USA, Danceteria, and The Tunnel, all located in the heart of New York’s Manhattan, Boogie witnessed history as he watched and listened to the musical pioneers work their magic and contribute to an amazing transformation in the genre we know as house music. Since then, Boogie has loved and adopted that New York sound, coupled with the wonderful beats from places such as Chicago, San Fransisco, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico, as well as from our brothers in house in all of Europe.
Boogie’s style is unique. He has incorporated into his armamentarium selections and beats so familiar to us all, yet chooses an interesting array of unorthodox tracks to blend together the richest, deepest, and most meaningful music to touch and move you at the very core.
