Alex Motu (a.k.a. Edo van Randen) has been active in the dutch-house scene since 1989. This is where he played together with artists like Gino Lightner, Abraxas, Flamman, Jeroen Homan, Armando (USA), LFO (UK), Eddie “Flashin†Fowlkes (Detroit), Juan Atkins (Detroit) …and others.

Being one of the first who introduced House Music to a larger public in Belgium he had opportunities to play in legendary clubs like The Café D’Anvers or The Catacombes. Exclusive resident for Dogglounge Radio, Jemaho is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records, a digital label that tends to prove that real Deep and House Music can also survive in this digital world. He has also, as a producer, releases on Xoom Recordings, Major League House, Série Limitée, Pocket Money and others!
Voodoo Lopez, spanish DJ based in Costa del Sol, I’d started my musical career as local dj radio during the 80’s at the same time playing pop rock in a local band, as rhythm guitar, singer and composer.  I love music. My father is a great classic music lover, so I’d involved in any kind of music since I was a child. I’d enjoyed the disco music during the 70’s, the classic rock bands, so for me the best thing in life was to be a musician. We are true believers! And I hope that you enjoy my mixes here in Dogglounge Deep family.

Born in 1975 in Oporto, Pedro Frederico soon realized that music would play a huge part in his life. He attended the Conservatoire in his hometown and completed a degree in classical guitar; he also attended the painting class at the Fine Arts Schools of Oporto during the same period. He lectured classical guitar for some years until he pursued his career in graphic arts finishing also a college degree in photography and cinema. Electronic music came late in his life, the passion grew and he needed to go to the decks to play the music that he started to love. Neonlogic is the result of that passion.

Based all the way from London, UK… DJ Marky B first became interested in turntable mixing in 1983. He was hooked on the early 80’s Electro/HipHop scene and the sounds coming out of the streets of NYC from DJs such as Whiz Kid, Grandmaster Flash and Grandmixer DST. While being into HipHop, Breakdancing and Graffiti/Subway Art from an early age, his turntable skills progressed at a rapid rate and was very popular locally for his mixing, scratching and turntablism skills whilst even still at school, taking lots of time out of studies to find those rare and hard-to-find break beats that everyone heard sampled and wanted, but didn’t know where to get.

The deejay journey began in 1993 in the Midlands and northern UK with parties and small club nights called Swarve and boat parties and gigs at Worcester. Then came deejaying at the UK’s number one club, Hard Times, the first UK club to import the soulful sounds of house music, and best DJs, from the USA. This was followed by a residency at Flaming Colossus, the number-one club in Leicester, and Lost Weekend in Nottingham,
In 2000 DubC became a Saturday resident at MSQ Macclesfield with a night called Funktion Groovin’. 2002-2004 was spent as a resident on various nights in such Midland clubs as Indi Bar (Forward), So-Bar, Bakers, and Liberty. DubC also deejayed on BPM, an early internet radio station.

A variety of reasons prompt DJs to take on the turntables professionally, but few in retrospect will admit they figured out it would make them cool. Nate Lee, a.k.a. DJ Hard Drive confesses humorously that the cool factor is indeed what got him in the DJ’ing biz circa 1995, but is definitely not what keeps him there. Originally from Minneapolis, the mop-topped ex-raver will dish out his serrated brand of funky house for crowds who can show some love. “I play music for people who want to dance and get down,” he explains. “If you’re not dancing, you’re not really feeling the music like it should be felt.” Influenced by the hard acid sounds of such Midwest legends as Terry Mullan and Derrick Carter, Hard Drive has shared his sound with hordes of househeads all over the Midwest, California, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Mexico, Europe, and Florida (the latter at Miami’s Winter Music Conference).

Born and raised in the Brew City (Milwaukee, WI), Neyno has been an avid music lover for as long as he can remember. Having been exposed to a diverse selection of styles through his family, it was his brother’s choice in music which intrigued him the most. Introducing him to the likes of M|A|R|R|S, Afrika Bambaata, Daft Punk, Herbie Hancock, Newcleus, and many others caused him to include these new sounds into his ever growing musical palette. Over the years his love of Electronic Music grew with his desire to discover more.

Rhythmic, deep, inspiring, electro-natural, beats for dancing. It’s very hard for me to pinpoint at what point in my life I became a house-head. As far as I can remember I’ve been enamored with dance music (and the true culture it breeds) in all of its varieties. In my opinion, music and dance are vital to un-pollute your soul, connect you to your past, guide you into the future, and connect you to people with similar outlooks on life. I love music in general but have found my musical calling in this thing they call House.

Santiago grew up in the Bronx, NYC and was introduced to house music at the young age of 17 years. It was soon after that he started to explore the different sounds produced by world renowned djs working the dance floor during his time in the famous clubs of New York. Employeed (as a barback) at discotheques Club USA, Danceteria, and The Tunnel, all located in the heart of New York’s Manhattan, Boogie witnessed history as he watched and listened to the musical pioneers work their magic and contribute to an amazing transformation in the genre we know as house music. Since then, Boogie has loved and adopted that New York sound, coupled with the wonderful beats from places such as Chicago, San Fransisco, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico, as well as from our brothers in house in all of Europe.

Discovering Northern Soul (a dance movement that grew out of the Wigan Casino club in the North of England) in 1977, further influenced by the DIY ethos and basic honesty of the Punk movement in the late 70’s and the resurgence of homegrown Ska and Reggae in UK, The Suit has been wedded to honest and soulful music all his adult life.
A long term listener and member of Dogglounge, Marko Darko (The Suit) had a ‘Road to Damascus’ moment of epiphany in The Curious J’s living room (mind your tongues boys’n’girls) in March 2007 when he discovered that beatmatching on a pair of Technic 1210 MkIIs was a LOT easier than on a pair of ageing belt drive Garrards (the last righe had played on in 1985).
Returning home to the UK, he immediately bought himself a set-up, vinyl and got to work practicing; transforming a spare room at his offices into a studio and spending WAY too much time spinning (often into the not-so-early hours of the morning).

Jose R. Torres Jr., AKA DJ Phatman, was born and raised in Chicago and began his affair with music at an early age. He embraced the sounds of his parent’s priceless record collection. His mother collected the soulful sounds of Motown, while his father moved to the rhythmic percussion albums of his beloved land Puerto Rico. These influences and his natural rhythm are the roots of the music he plays. In 1984, at the ripe age of 14, Phatman received his father’s blessing and assistance to get his first pair of turntables and a mixer.

Discovering electronic music very early to the late 90’s listening to “Can You Feel It” by Mr Fingers on some TV show “Better Days” … The house will never leave … Sometimes deep, more parking, more jazzy, more clubby … everything is there, and his sets you will find all this diversity and all the deep respect he has for this music …
It is first on the radio during his college years he will make his debut and refine his technique … It is important that this period will meet with Mr Eric who will be born soon the project “Different” and the association of the same name. Those two do more quiter and their mutual influence will be the umbilical cord of their vision of the house … The production will quickly pressing especially from a family of musicians … And that in 2007 his productions are already signed.
