I get a lot of inspiration for my podcast covers from my trips to Cuba, and all the other places in world I have been fortunate to travel to pre-pandemic. Whenever I was traveling I would make sure to take photos of places and unique scenery with podcast covers in mind.

In this particular photo my partner and I rented a scooter and made our way to the city of Matanzas, which is about 48km/30mi from beach resort town Varadero where we were staying. Matanzas was not quite the ‘city’ we thought it would be but still a humbling and bustling community with lots of character and characters.

Currently in Toronto, Canada we have been in lock-down for almost 4 months, one of the longest lock-downs in North America, as businesses slowly begin to reopen and our numbers continue to rise, the politicians are now dj’s (lol jk,could not resist slipping that in there) I digress – The government is suggesting hair salons allow outdoor haircuts. This made me remember the photo I had taken in Cuba of an outdoor barber shop where this has been normal for a long time. Cuba always had a way of humbling me.
